MV Colour Coating Line Enters Production
The continuous colour coating line (CCL) built with PRC's participation at MV in Vietnam has completed installation and linked commissioning and entered production in August 2026. PRC provided the process and equipment concept, key equipment supply and on-site commissioning support. Work now focuses on batch stability, colour-change time, coating thickness control and defect traceability ahead of performance acceptance.
In early August 2026, the continuous color coating line (CCL) at MV in Vietnam completed linked commissioning and entered production. PRC provided the process and equipment concept, key equipment supply and technical support for on-site installation and commissioning.
Process coordination
The quality of a color coating line depends on stable coordination between pretreatment, coating, curing and recoiling. Entry, pretreatment, coating and exit equipment are selected against the product program. Coating heads are arranged for primer, finish and back coats; curing temperature, airflow and line speed are matched to the coating system. Entry and exit accumulators and recoiler tension help maintain strip stability during joining and coil changes.
Commissioning and procedures
During commissioning, the teams calibrated coating appearance, film thickness uniformity and the curing window. They also confirmed operating procedures for color changes, strip joining, sleeves and recoiler tension, supporting continuous production of qualified coils during initial operation.
After production starts
Following production start, work focuses on batch stability: first-coil acceptance, color-change and cleaning time, and the reproduction and traceability of surface defects. PRC continues to track operating data and support performance acceptance and operator training.

Frequently asked questions
What type of line is the MV project?
It is a continuous color coating line (CCL). Galvanized or aluminium-zinc coated substrate passes through uncoiling, pretreatment, coating, curing and cooling before continuous recoiling for construction and appliance applications.
What is PRC’s scope?
Process and equipment concept, key equipment supply and integration, electrical and automation configuration, installation and commissioning guidance, and operator training. The agreed contract and technical documents define the final scope.
What is monitored after production starts?
Batch stability, first-coil acceptance, color-change and cleaning time, coating thickness uniformity, coating appearance and recurring surface defects. Performance criteria follow the agreed acceptance documents.
